I'm working here on base. And I went in this one building on base, they have the Isotec 228 and 12 trunk groups. I was wandering is there way to take one of the trunk group lines and turn it into a direct dial to a persons desk. When I go to the "B" screen all the trunk groups has "0" for the hunt group. Then 10-12 has 0 next to Trunk Group also. T1 type = DA_1, and 12 CO lines.

Hgibbs7869, Tylerpd1 provided a good description of how to program a line to ring to one phone, in his January 26 reply to the thread you started with your January 18 post. (If you do see other extensions listed when using the L DR, l NR, or L K commands he describes, you need to go to those extensions in the A screen and set Day/Night ring for that line to N, and remove the key for that line in the K section of the A screen if you don't want the line to appear on those phones. But you might want to find out why those people have that line first...) The only things I would add are to set the trunk group to 0 in the B screen for that line ID, so that it doesn't get used when the user of another phone presses a group key or otherwise uses pooled access to make an outgoing call; and make sure the Day and Night Access are set to Y in the A screen of the phone you want this line to belong to. Good luck.

Thanks so much!! I did not see that posting for the Jan 26. But now that I have looked at it, it really helps out a lot. Is there a command that would bring up the actual phone number for that line?

h, if you're lucky, the original installer of the line may have written the phone number in the Name field in the Line section of the B (System Programming) screen. Be careful looking at it though - if you hit Enter a second time after putting in the line number to see the right line, it puts the cursor on the Name field, where you can accidentally erase the name by hitting anything other than Enter or Escape.

If it's not there, you can direct select that line by dialing 9 plus the three digit line number (for example 9010 for line 10) from any phone that has access to that line (Day Access in the A screen) and a group key (don't hit the group key first, just dial the four digits). Or, if you've already used the January 26 post to put that line on a phone as a direct line appearance, just press that line key. Then you can call your cell phone or any phone with caller ID to see the phone number.

If you are able to directly access a line, you can also dial 10-10-732-1-770-988-9664 to ID the line. I'm sure there are tons of ANI codes out there, but this one has been working for a LONG time.
Sorry if my english doesn't make sense. Painkillers cloud the mind.
