I am trying to get disconect supervision on my Frontier Loop Start Lines in a small town. Luckily I can work directly with the CO tech but unlucky that neither of us can find the right term or feature on how to have the Siemens DCO CO provide the CPC or Disconnect supervision. (fomerly called Strngberg Carlson DCO which is now owned by genband)
Any of you here have direct experience with the Siemens DCO features and what term or feature/option that provides disconect supervision?
Thanks In Advance
Chris

Called Party Control, Calling Party Control, and at least 2 others, depending on switch and rev.

GTE/Verizon uses the acronym 'COD' (cancel on disconnect) for their Nortel DMS and Siemens ESWD switches around here. Maybe that will give you another one to try.
Kind of like guessing passwords, huh?

Yup Ed your right on the passwords. Come to find out frontier Siemens DCO switch provides the disconect supervision with all loopstart lines. I verified this at my house by using a voltmeter and butt set. when the remote party hangs up the CO drops the battery for half second.
However at the business where I am having IVR and Voicemail issues (they are less than a mile away) I never get a drop in voltage or a drop of battery, but I do hear a click or pop in the line. Speaking with the CO tech about this he beleives that there is a timing setting that is set at 50ms. He was unable to access the remote CO Switch do to password isses. Untill then I will have to wait and see.
Thanks for your help guys
