well, they did it... and now they are going to pay! I closed my account with Qwest last fall and now century link took over... higher prices too! well, not for me. they lost my business... how dare they try to charge me a $200.00 disconnect fee. good luck to them, I'm not paying! AT&T is no better... know to us here in Idaho as "cableone" fooey! let them all go bankrupt! that will teach them to deregulate the phone system... greed, greed, and more greed!

Any chance it was a business number tied to a yellow pages ad that you contracted for a year on and that $200 is the buyout/penalty?

they added a 2 year contract to the acct without my authorization... several people here in Idaho have been ripped off by century link... the service was a transfer from idaho to oregon...

When that happens in Bell Canada territory, it's usually the fault of the client, as when they call to try a "get a better deal", they usually can, they're just not told very clearly that to get it they commit to a term.
