On the side street behind one of our firehouses verizon has 2 fairly large fibers lashed to a figure 8 duct. The 2 fibers are no longer lashed to the 8 and are hanging 8 feet above the sidewalk and a large commercial driveway.
We called verizon to report it and after going thru their phone tree (took longer because we did not have a phone number to report on) and a long wait time for a live person we attempted to report the low hanging fiber.
The verizon rep would not take the report because it was not causing an outage.
Guess they care about their fiber as much as they care about their copper. I expect to go back their next week and find 2 large service loops where they had to splice it after it got torn down. Could have fixed it today with $2 worth of lashing wire but thats not verizons way.
