I don't believe you can use the graphics keypad to do initial programming. You must use a two line alpha for this.
BTW, on your vista 10, the reason I was asking if you installed it or not, on that panel the master code is the installer code. They didn't use two codes on that model. So the sequence would be: Master Code, Code Button, 0 to get in.

and dont oyu have to have a special keypad for programming. alot of these "package" systems sold, do not come with the right keypad for programming. i am not a big user of ademco products, but do service several places with them and have run into issues with this.

Thanks everyone for the help, I now have it working. I now have a new 20P and I was able to do the programming with the 6270 touchpad. The new 20P had the touchpad enabled by default out of the box. I sure learned a lot this last week. Now on to my next project installing a couple cameras inside and out.
