Does anyone know where we can obtain an integrated chip regulator 5 Pin TO220 - L165 8AA648? We have tried to cross-reference this part with no success. The power supply box is the original Executone installed box made by Power Controls, Inc., which we could not find on the internet.

Our power supply failed yesterday and our Electronic Tech said the bad part is the above mentioned part. (IC regulator). Trying to save money, we are attempting to repair this power supply and keep it as a spare. We are trying to find a vendor that may have this IC regulator. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It's for IDS System 228 - the power supply part number is 550005 - that's what's on the Power Supply box, along with such information as Power Controls, Inc in Wallingford Connecticut which I could not find on the internet. Other info is 120 Vac 60 Hz Listed 40D6 File No E108965. If you go to one of the refurbish sites and key in part # 550005, you can see what it looks like.

Does this help??? Thanks for your reply. Look forward to hearing back from you.
