Just wondering how everyone handles garage doors in a residence? Do you contact the overhead door and just set and extended delay? Install a motion (maybe ceiling mounted) again with an extended delay, or just ignore it and contact the interior door.
Also with a Honeywell vista20p does anyone know of a way to have a motion detector only active in night mode, not away mode?

I'm not sure about the newer DSC systems but on the older panels I used the "double delay" feature for garage doors and it was always satisfactory. I'm reasonably sure the new one's have the same feature these days.
I don't have the Vista manual on this computer so I can't answer that question at the moment.

I cannot find anything in the manual on it..I may just be missing it..The Vista20 allows me to set up 2 delays so I can set the main doors for say 45 sec and the overhead longer, up to 240 secs...do u think that would be long enough?
