Im looking to replace some spt15a with some horns that have better fidelity for music over the PA system. Environment is about 20K sq feet with six horns. Paging is hi priority, but so is country music for this trucking center.

15 watt horns are not going to reproduce music very well. If its not very noisy then you should consider cone speakers. If there is a lot of noise then horns with a sub woofer setup for the music.

If it was built after 1980 don't expect it to work right.

Horns have practically no bass response at all, therefore any music played through them just sucks - to put it bluntly.

Like Merritt said, go for cone speakers. There are good speakers out there that will do what you want.

I was hoping someone would share their experience with a particular "Speaker" that would suit this dual purpose; paging and music.

Rusty I generally would find out what the budget is and put the best speakers that you can get for the money.

I'm partial to Atlas and/or Bogen Speakers.

Google them, you'll get the info.
