I have a Nitsuko Dx2NA-32m brain. Recently when we page from any phone all the overhead speakers are crackling like they are blown.. Is this usually the power supply causing this issue?

You need to have a tech come out and check things out. To assume its the power supply of the phone system is premature. Crackling can be caused by a few things. Is it the power supply? The page card? The amp? Whatever? Too many unknowns without having a guy on site.

I doubt that it has anything to do with the phone system. I would double check the amp first.
What type of amp? also since most connections from this system to the amp have some sort of splice, the splice may be at fault.I have seen bare wires twisted together, they could be touching.

thats why I moved it here , I doubt it has anything to do with the phone system

have you tried taking the paging output from the system and paging directly from the amp ?

that would be one of my first tests

I would echo Skip. Connect a microphone directly to the amp and eliminate the phone system completely.

What do you have for a connection between the phone system and the amp? Check that cable first.

Isolate. Test. Eliminate.

I rememeber that we had to use an Audio Isolation transformer from Radio Shack part number 273-1374 but this was for a Valcom 4 wire paging system

Quite a few things might be causing this problem, might be as simple as a dirty pot, adjust the volume knob up & down a few times to see if it clears up the problem. You may have a amp, power supply or even a single horn/speaker causing this to happen. It would help greatly to know the specifics of your paging system to be able to TS this well.

You can't expect much knowledge from someone who calls a KSU or control unit a "brain" anyway.
