Looking to see if anyone makes a push and hold button to talk intercom box. would prefer to have user hold button while talking and then when released page is complete. I know there are a bunch that you can program the silence timers on. Thanks in advance.\

Aiphone makes P/T intercoms and Atlas Sound has handsets with P/T buttons for paging. Need more information on what you are trying to accomplish.

We are expanding on or our ER's. They want an auto dial page button on all the phones, That’s not a problem. However, they want a wall mounted intercom type device that also auto dial into the overhead paging to page relatives etc.. I know we could use an elevator type phone to do this but I would rather have an actual push in the button, talk and release the button type box. It will be running on an analog port from my PBX. I personally would just put another phone at that location. But that not what they want. I am going analog with this because my Difinty switch at this location has no slots available to add another aux pack.

So, basically you are just looking at the equivalent of a push-to-talk microphone feeding the paging amp? Any need to run thru the phone system?

Why not put a phone with no dial pad and just have it auto connect to paging when off hook?

JK we use a lot of ringdowns for paging in a paticular area. So we have to have it go thru PBX. most of the phones will have a page speed dail using the same ext.

Merritt, Thats what I said. But they dont want a phone on the wall.
