Oops, I meant precision, not premiere. And in my eagerness of finding this group, I misstated the use of the confidencer. It is to keep out background noise, not prevent you from being heard in your office.
What else should I put in my profile? How do I get notified of new posts in various areas?
great group.

I sent you a private message about the profile thing. Just check into it when you get a chance. This is mostly just a matter of knowing who you are and where you are located. It's not a statistical or profiling thing.
As for your question about post notification, just go to the "MY PROFILE" tab on the home page and you can set up just about anything you want. If you can't find something you need, just let us know and one of us will assist.

Actually... not quite. First, the 2012 transformers came in two versions. The 2012A put out in the 6-8VAC range, and was used to provide power for the dial pad lights on the old 'Princess' series phones.
The 2012B put out 16-18VAC, and was originally used to power the 3A speakerphone system.
The 'official' transformer for the 4A speakerphone is the 85B1. It's quite a bit larger, physically speaking, than the 2012B. It puts out the same voltage, but has more current capacity than the 2012B.
Attempting to power a 4A with a 2012B may not work reliably. They were more current-hungry than the 3A, as I recall.
Also, attempting to power a 4A from a KTS supply strikes me as a bad idea because one side of the 18VAC supply is typically tied to common ground. Both the 3A and the 4A speakerphones require that both leads of their AC supply 'float.'
I seem to recall I once tried to run a 4A from the KTS supply, just as an experiment. It resulted in the most horrendous hum I've ever heard.
Keep the peace(es).
