iam connecting a analog device (not a phone) to an IDS 84 and it needs to access an outside line, i have tried 90 and 91. right now i do have a analog phone to test with, but i cannot seem to access an outside line. each line is set to trunk group 01, is there any way i can program four extensions each going through an OPX to just dial 9 to access an available outside line? and which programming screen is it in.

Make sure the SLI dial option in the M screen is set to Y (yes).

never mind, i found in the programming manual where you can program an analog device to automatically grab a line in a trunk group. under prime line you enter 23 and then the trunk group. this will work perfect. sometimes just posting it here and thinking about stuff it just comes to you. i have used this site numerous times and its been a huge help and excellent resource. thanks everyone.

If it's not a phone and will not be using the intercom, why not prime line it to the trunk group....Prime line field = 901
