and I don't want to put a real want ad in the buy and sell, becuase it's so trivial and for fear that no one will see it.

All I need is a older WE white 2554, for a friend who wants to put it in the kitchen on a 1A2 system. The modern ones don't have enough SWHK contacts to provide the A lead control.

put a relay in series with the ring going toward the set and the contacts on the a lead (best done at the ksu end).we used 6c relays when I worked at TPC (The Phone Company)

"Pricey" ??? Does that come with a free dinner and movie? I can get a brand new one for $35.00 from my suppliers. Since this is for an old buddy of mine, I thought I'd pick up a used one up for less. Thanks for the laff, though.

Arthur, I still have two of them installed in my house and I can spare one. They were brand-new when originally installed in 1992 and have had minimal use. They are the last of the US-made Western Electric sets that included a color-matched handset hanger and an electronic dial, but they do have a real network and adequate switch hook contacts. Let me know if you are still interested and we'll communicate off-line about it.
