Hello all,
I'm going out late tonight to a site to replace a EVCM in the second cabinet of a 648.
M-style phones in the second and third cabinets have limited capabilities. They cannot conference, sometimes the lights don't light on keys when pressed. Some of the K-style phones are going batty, and my LAN number stays around 1400.
My PRI cards freeze after nightly reset, and won't do anything until reseated. These test good in other cabinets.
When I test the EVCM using the CTrl-B utilities in level 10, there are some errors, but they don't change. No new errors are occurring, but the issues still stand. I've attached a I/O panel to cabinets two and three so that I can get accurate test results. The only thing I see is those errors on the EVCM. Cpu tests good thru the automated test.
Fiber Mux looks good as well.
I am going to replace the EVCM and fiber mux in cabinet 2.
Can anyone think of anything else? I'm leaving for this site in about 5 hours. (it's 1745 in NYC right now)
Thoughts and recommendations are appreciated.

I would suspect a faulty backplane. Are the 'k' (wave) phones coming off that same cabinet?

Bad conference card in first cabinet...
I gave up a night's sleep for this...
dammit.
