Would anyone happen to have the schematic for this phone? The network is 4010.

Thanks for the reply Arthur. I had found that site previously, but I wasn't sure whether or not I could work with the 2555 schematic they provide.

All single-line 25xx-series phones use the same schematic and wiring.

The 4010 network is just a cheapened version of the 425-type. They are electrically equivalent, and use the same terminal nomenclature.

What's the difference between a 2554 and 2555?

2554 = single line TT wall set

2555 = two-line version of above

With the exception of the extra T & R input leads and the turn key to select the lines, the basic schematic is identical.

Managed to get a copy of the 2554B schematic. The only major difference is the terminal strip which has different designations between the two models (actually, I think there are many models from what I understand). My terminal strip is labelled 1,2,3,11,10, but the 255 has 12 and E1, E2 etc, and it was confusing me a little.

In any event, I got the phone up and running (or ringing rather, HA! OK, bad joke...) a few hours ago, so all's good.

Goldmine, you mean.

A landmine would be a bit more painful, I'm afraid.

Yes...goldmine.

Some tribute to Princess Diana was playing on the TV in the background, talking about her efforts to ban landmines. Must have slipped into my subconscious.
