As I recall, a "Call Director" was a WECO product, however any large key set was often generically called a Call Director.

In Nortel land, aka Canada, it was not known as a call director.

It was simply for users that needed more than a 5 or 10 button set working off a 1A2 system.

Used mainly for large businesses who needed multiple line appearances on the same phone.

This is one variation of Call Director®. Other companies made clones, under license from Western Electric, but they all had this general shape and key layout.
