hi folks. cust. has a 108 cabinet with a 228 cpu.(9.2.2) using a sony walkman for moh.the moh sounds distorted to the caller on hold.the music source is clean, music is also clean at demarc.have adjusted volumes of vcm & walkman-no help. next move is to swap out the vcm-maybe the output is a little weak but can't tell from onsite. anybody else seen a similar trouble? thanks.

you might want to check the cord that you're using. Unplug it from the evcm and put your buttset leads on it, see if the sound is clean. If so- try swapping out the evcm, if not...
you get my point.

I don't remember a CPU reset requirement, but will need to change MOH status in B screen for each line - from Y to N or N to Y - depending on how it is currently set. Mike

I would recommend using a matching transformer. (connected between VCM and the output of source) The music source must have a output impedance of 2k Ohms or less.

I agree with END, and isolation transformer can be purchased from radio shack. Also blocks DC voltages from VCM.
