Hello all,
I have inherited an IDS 42 with a 2 port Infostar / DVX voice mail attached. I need to configure the system where just a few phones ring when an inbound call is received on any of the trunk lines. If no one answers these phones, then I need the auto attendant to answer the phone and prompt the user to enter an extension or stay on the line to be transferred to a receptionist.
Please help. If you can private message me, I'd be glad to send you my contact info so we can work on this via the phone.

You should be able to configure the extensions to be in the same hunt group as the trunk lines and that will make those lines ring when the trunk rings.
I'm not too familiar with the DVX, but on the VX3, you'd need to set it up to answer after a certain number of rings, then have it routed to a CCR box. It can then be transferred to extensions or timeout to a receptionist. You'd need to make sure the DVX extensions are in the same hunt group as the ringing extensions.
You'll also need to set up the extensions on the IDS to forward to voicemail if there is no answer.
