Hi I'm new here, I'm very new to working with phone technology but I'll try my best to explain my problem. I posted in this forum because I know we use Tadiran equipment with Coral FlexiCom phones.
I'm posting to see if anyone has seen a problem similar to this one and could steer me in the right direction. Here is our setup:
We have our main campus building that uses normal digital phones, and has one IP phone.
Across the lot we have our annex, a suite in another building that we use. This building isn't wired with normal phone lines so we have to use IP phones in it. I believe the phone switch is located at our data center in another state and all traffic is routed there through four T1's and VPN.
Here is the problem we are experiencing..
From an Annex IP phone I call a normal phone in the main building and I can hear them just fine, but they cannot hear me.
From an Annex IP phone I call an outside number such as my cell phone. Same thing, I can hear the person on the outside device, but they cannot hear me.
Also,
Annex IP Phone to Annex IP Phone works fine both ways, they can hear me and I can hear them.
Annex IP Phone to IP phone in main building works fine as well.
Another strange thing is that about 15% of the time the phones work fine (I can hear them, they can hear me, no matter what phones I call). Majority of the time they are having the problems listed above though.
What could be causing this behavior with the phones? Any help would be appreciated and I'll do my best to get any info that could help better understand my situation.
Thanks
