I have this Coral 2. The remote modem use to work and now I am not able to get in. It seems to be handshaking then all of a sudden a screaching sound occurs then the please have up message come on. I have reset the card several times already.I am hoping not to have to change the RMI card, but it looks like I will have to. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Nothing has changed.

Sounds like you make have to swap out the RMI card, like you said. You should be able to get an older one pretty cheap.

Have you tried to get access to modem from internal SLT connected to PC? May be the problem is located outside your Coral? Or try to change your PC.

Muter, I am not able to connect from my office (dsl modem line). I went on site and used their 1MB and I got in. Although, I am able to connect to other Tadiran systems. I am going to change the RMI.

What program are you using to try and connect? Is the modem on a dedicated line or a DID? What message are you getting?

A DID into the VM (Analog slt) that transfers to the modem.

No messages, just handshaking then a high pitch screach. Then a message to please hang up and try again.
