Hello All-

First I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me in the past, but I'm in need of your expertise again.

We just purchased a new DDEI card to add 16 new extension. I inserted the card and the system doesn't seem to pick it up. By that I mean I go to maintenance > configuration > and the slot still states open. I would be grateful if someone could tell me what I need to do. To add, I have restarted the system with the new card inserted. The light on the card is also flashing.

Thank you

Joe

Also let me know what version of software, there was a version of software that had problems seeing DDEI cards if phones are not connected to it.

I seem to remember that some slots couldnt use ddei cards. Have to look it up to be sure. What slot are you in with that card.

Hello

thank you for your replies.

1. I have restarted the system
2. F5F15
3. I tried to put it in the last slot

Slot order:
DDEI, DDEI, DDEI, DEI, DDEI, AEI, ATI, ATI, DDEI(last slot).

Since you say the last slot is only an 8-port slot, what would you recommend. Can I just switch it with the DEI card, since its only an 8-port card? Also if I do that will that mess up the extension, or will the system know that i have swapped them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes it is an LTX, the last 3 slots can only handle 8 circuit cards. AEI, ATI are 8 port cards. Once you move the cards around extension numbers and trunk nubers will change. Extension and trunk numbers derive fron the slots the cards are put in. I would swap the DDEI card with the DEI card and then do a DIR swap in programming.
