I am trying to log in to the uCMC administration program (vpxscr.exe) and it tells me that another one is being run from a few days ago and I will only be allowed read access. So I can't administer the system at all. Run task manager on the win2k pro system and don't see another one.
Can anyone tell me how to kill the existing one (or at least make the system think it is dead) so I can add VM accounts without coming in after hours to repower the whole thing? tnx

Can you just ask someone to restart the uCMC card?

I did restart windows (is that what you meant?) on the uCMC card which didn't help. Just now I shut down the windows 2000 card and power cycled the entire PBX. Still another ghost user in the machine. So now I will need to appeal to a higher power.
I looked in the registry for something that shared information with the "existing user" dialog box but found nothing. Also looking for a "lock" file in the file system didn't show any obvious culprits.
Not sure exactly how I got into this position either. mcb

Also I would post the dialog box but putting images on this site is a lot of work, have to have them "web viewable" somewhere first. but it says:

So is there another login to this administration program that I can use to nuke the ghost one?

If you go into the system and let it log you in as read only you then click on the Automatic mode on the right of the screen and it will say reset and you say yes. Log in again and you should have cancelled the other Administration client that was running.
