Extension 401 is recieving continuous ringing and the screen is scrolling thru analog extensions 461 to 472. This happened last Thursday and today. I am not onsite and had an engineer restart both cabinets (CAB1 & CAB4) and this fixed it. When I remote in the CCC shows as failed yet the system works OK until this situation starts up again. Any ideas? thank you

The reset did work. Did the situation start up again?

Yes, it seems to last maybe one working day which tells me nothing.

the problem only lasted one day or after you rebooted things were good for a day then went back to problems?

Sounds as though there may be a loop setup in the night greeting and when it is called once it is setting all ports into an endless loop. Make some test calls to the voicemail at night and see if the port drops when you hang up.

I had a cerified Tadiran tech remote into the system and then he called Tadiran America. They are shipping new J09 chips with the latest version of firmware. Once installed I'll let you know the results.

Additionally, there are other problems I should let you all know about. when the sytem "freaks out" not only does the above issue happen with 401 but no one can access their voicemail, it just rings and rings. Same with trying to remote in, the AA never answers. Also, there are 4 analog extensions on the system and they can't transfer a call during this time. Weird. I have a UCD Group (230) assigned to these 4 analog extensions and calls coming into the group don't ring to them either that is until the system is reset. Again I'll let you know if the firmware upgrade has any effect. Thanks

Please do let us know, as kigi phone said there might be a loop in the voicemail. I have seen this happen when you send the same ccr back to itself in the wrong places.

So you don't think I forgot, the firmware will be installed on Monday. I should be sending a quick reply on Tuesday or Wednesday.
