Sounded like a connection to me. So the replacing the cabinets fixed the original problem? Sounds familiar. As to the Flash Voicemail, see my other post.

I need to know what type of cable to use to "locally" program the Emerald and the Flash Voice mail. The Tadiran tech that last visited said the Emerald was a straight cable but he didn't know about the Flash. The Flash manual says null modem. Can anyone confirm? Thanks

Coral Tech,

Are you sure? I just move the same cable over switch programs and it works.

Hmm, I always remember having to pull off my null modem connector when I switch. Could be I am mistaken since we rarely work on these (no new installs) anymore.

The only time you need a null modem cable should be for the modem to the voicemail.

According to the documentation (which I still say is written in Israeli) the Flash is null modem and the KSU is straight. I'll just be sure I have both with me. Do all of you use PROCOMM+ for both systems? Thank you!

LADAY, I use a straight through for both the system and the flash voicemail. I use Hyperterminal for programming the flash, I use an old version of procomm that I downloaded of the internet for the HDD Voicemail.

RMP for the system, Procomm for the flash.
