This is for IDS 228/VX2. I am currently trying to get a phone set up here for an eomplyee, and the listed extension is not the correct one on either his phone or on the employee directory. Is there a command to simply FIND out which extension it is? The phones here are set up to have seperate phone numbers being 333-XXXX where the XXXX is the extension. So I thought of calling another phone to see if it would be listed, but it simply lists the main office phone number. I need to get this guy taken care of, but I'm not even sure of which mailbox is his. To sum up: I need a way to find out the extension of the phone in order to set up his voicemail.
And also, once I do find this mailbox, should I just use 436 to set it up? Is there a default password that I can use in order to overwrite the settings of the old employee that used to sit in his workspace?
I could really use some help here, thanks.

if it's a display set just press the # key. or make an icm call to a display set-yor ext. will show on their set. if you have access to the manager's mailbox you can change access codes of any mailbox.

the easy way to do it. you need to be in the VM system managers mailbox to reset the password for an individul user. after you change the password, go in to the individual users mb and change the greetings for that mailbox and you are done.
