Hi Guys, Has anyone got any experience of networking between a Tadiran & Avaya/Lucent Definity system. We have a customer with a Flexicom 5000 (Version 15.84.10; IP & QSIG enabled) who are looking to network to an Avaya Definity system. Have requested information from Tadiran Support but would be grateful for any guidance from anyone with similar experience.
Cheers

My company connected a Flexicom 5000 to an Avaya thru a T-1 but if the Definity has the ability to do QSIG, that would be the best bet. You can also connect the Tadiran thru straight ISDN Pri between the two. The Tadiran can do whatever you want to do. Coral Tech on this site and I can help you out if you need more information.

I to have had some limited experience connecting a Coral to a Definity over T1 channels. Though if the Definity is SIP enabled you could also setup a SIP network node.

That would also be an option... I remember connecting an IPX800 to a Siemens system. Even though Siemens said they were QSIG compliant, we still had issues. Siemens uses QSIG for video conferencing and added extra hex coding to run Video. Needless to say, after finding this out, we asked Siemens if they could strip the extra coding out, they said yes but told us that if they did that, it wouldn't be industry standard QSIG and would be considered Custom Qsig. go figure...
