fyi, I'm using an Executone IDS 228/VX2 for voicemail.
I need to change my business greeting when someone calls in (ie: you've reached our company, dial 1 for a directory, dial 2 for service, dial 3 for sales, etc)
I've looked through the documentation that came with the systems, and found nothing, can anyone lend assistance, please?

Are you trying to change the voicemail system hours,the phone system auto night mode or both?

Maybe you ae trying to change the DVA greetings, Digital Voice Announcers, if so, you need to know ext numbers they are.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

If you are using the VX2 voicemail to answer your calls then you will need to change the greeting of the associated CCR box your business greeting is recorded under. You need to access the admin mailbox(usually mailbox 5000) in the voicemail system to make that change. To access the admin mailbox you have to access voicemail using the three digit hunt group number, usually 436, or by dialing one of the single line extensions connected to the voicemail system, press # and then enter the system admin mailbox number plus password. Once into the system admin menu depending on your vx version you should be able to do the following: select menu choice 3(Mailbox maintenance) then choice 8(Greetings), you will be prompted to enter a mailbox number this will coorespond to the CCR number, ex. if you're using CCR box 1 for your business greeting then you will have to enter it as a four digit number, 0001. It will then prompt you for the greeting number, always use greeting number 1. You will then have three menu choices, 1 to listen, 2 to record and 3 to erase. Always listen first to confirm you are dealing with the right greeeting. Note: If CCR box 1 is not your greeting then you may want to try CCR box 2 and so forth by dialing them as four digit number.
