I've got two 114FXO's at 2 different sites. One pulls dial tone, the other shows that it's going off hook but I don't hear dial tone. Settings are identical on both sites both in the teleport and in the PI. Any suggestions?

Are you sure the CO ports on the remote side are good with a buttset?

I had the tech plugging it up for me unplug from the teleport and plug into an analog phone and he said he was pulling dialtone. Could this be a current issue. the site's a couple hours away and I figure I'll have to be there Monday at 8 if it's so

Maybe a port issue. Make sure the ports on the network are opened...

The ports were all open, but the cheap little Netgear router was only connecting to the DSL modem at 10M half duplex. Wiresharked between the Teleport and the router and saw packets going out. Wiresharked between the router and the Ssentinel on the other end and did not see them coming in or the return packets going out. I've sent the capture files to Tadiran for comment and talked the customer into upgrading the router at the far end. He got that in place Friday afternoon and I haven't got to check it yet, I will try that today.

Week late and several dollars short.
Router replacement seems to have cured the problem. I'm still getting complaints on the voice quality over that teleport. The other one seems to work fine. In perusing the INI file I can see differences in the voice engine settings, but the questionable one doesn't seem to accept my changes.

Would that affect Peer to peer connection?

Anything over the open internet cannot be guaranteed. That aside I WOULD be dubious of two exact teleport units having different settings.

Peer to peer, the RTP packets shouldn't be going over the internet. It's just local traffic across the switch from the teleport to the phone on the other side of the wall.
