I have a cmc OS2warp version 7.46 (I think) and each week the modem has to be reset. I have replaced the modem now three times all with US Robotics. The latest is a v.92. Has anyone experienced this problem before and if so what did you do to fix it.

Those systems were damn picky about what modem would work with Cosessions. You also had to have the dip switches properly flipped to make it work right if memory serves. I would also make sure Cosessions is defined for that particular modem because the init string may not be quite right.

The support.cs2 file for the modem is set as follows
select async
select cosession host
use com 3
use modem usr sportster 14,400
use baud 19200
password protection on
set login name xxxxxxxxx
set login password xxxxxxxxx
set wait moem init 5
call
end of file.

this was the closest match to the modem installed.

"this was the closest match to the modem installed."

Yeah, we have all run into that. My suggestion is try and find some computer resale shop that carries this old stuff and see if you can get a an exact match. Might want to start considering a windows CMC as the OS2 versions are no longer supported.

I agree with the update but it has to be approved on a restricted budget.

I would make sure you backup your vmail directory so that when it does take the dump you are ready.
