Emerald ICE installation connected to a Telepacific integrated circuit which is a T1 and splits out 8 analog lines.
Every few days customer would be in a call and it disconnects and then displays "Normal Clearing" on the phone.
Telepacific came out and tested their equipment and their logs showed no disconnections nor any errors.
Any ideas?

Normal Clearing = the carrier hung up.

Check to see if they are handing off "disconnect supervision"

Normal clearing means the carrier side has discontinued the call. It's a carrier issue.

Since Telepacific has come out and tested their lines and checked their logs, which were clean, what can I say to them to convince them that it is their issue?

How about it being the actual person making the call having the issue? Normal clearing is an ISDN code (from the CO) telling the phone system to hang up the channel. It might not have ANYTHING to do with the equipment or carrier but rather the end users phone, cell phone, Vonage (God forbid) etc. disconnecting the call and the ISDN doing it dutiful job.

If it was only on one instrument that might be a possibility, but is occurring on more than one phone.

Jack, each phone is controlled by the processor in the phone system ie line one on ext 401 is the same line 1 on extension 402. If the processor gets a disconnect from the CO then it will disconnect in the processor not the individual phone. Yes this will happen on any phone connected to the system.
