My business uses an older Medley system in our main office, and the HDD is starting to go out. I called the local Executone office but they weren't able to give me much help due to the age of the system. I was wondering if anyone knew how to transfer the operating system on the drive to another drive so the phone system will opperate. Also, is the software that run the phone system on the HDD or the PC boards..... I'm so confused it's not funny!!!

I think all the software is on the hard drive and as far as i know there isn't a back up or restore option, you may be able to remove the hard drive and copy it to another one. That however may just move your troubles to the new drive.My sugestion would be to see if you could find a referbished Medley KSU, install ti and program it like your old one.You then may be able to find a repair facality to fix your old unit for a spare. You may even find a company thet would give you an advance repair replacement unit. It would just cost a little more.
