Anyone try this?
We recieved a refurbished PS a while back and it was virtually identical (componentwise) to the SL PS.

Well we are still waiting for power supplies, and just had another customer go down.
Just removed the power board from the mounting plate, broke out the hacksaw, and started cutting until it would slide in. the refurbed one had a Heatsink cut, we trimmed the top of the mounting plate to allow wiggle room to get the heatsink over the bottom screw hole.

Unfortunately we had to cut out the screw holes on the mounting plate to get the PS to seat. that means it is not secure and would not recommend this as anything more than an immediate emergency fix.

I think I have done this once or twice. I can't remember if I used the IPX power supply in the SL or vice versa

You can put the SL power supply in but it is limited on how many cards it can power. I have seen it work. I know you cannot fill up the cabinet with cards but if you only have a few cards it will work. They had some kind of special bracket on on the Power supply to mount it.
