Just got a new IPX office, love this thing everything you need in a little space. Have a question we have set this up in a data center for our dr site and working on setting up remote access (no copper dial tone for this one & SIP trunks are not in yet) any how i will not have a computer at site with local connect ability so need to use the Telnet interface have it all set up but something strange is happening as you type in your password it echos it back to the screen (so you can see it - like when you're on a redundant system on the backup side) anyhow put the password in nothing. I do get challenged for the password just like on the kb0 so i know im in the right place. looked at all the term connections pretty basic and matched 'em up to the 3000 we have (it's working via the LIU) but just not able to get into the IPx office via telnet anyone know what step im missing?

What are you using as a client putty or what? Just remember it's not an LIU on that system it's a CUGW. Use a browser to check you config on that system.

using Putty. Did use the browser and verified the port. The odd thing is it looks like it should work as i get challenged for the password. With it being a CUGW should the settings in Term be any different?

Try, using hyperterminal. I think it's a PUTTY setting.

Connection type is raw. Under terminal, force off Local echo and local line editing.
