Considering how big Nortel is to Canada, I would figure Canada will do everything in their power to keep them in business.

I know we are installing BCM's every week in our locations with 100 upgrades to go. I know bankruptcy is restructuring, but it will be interesting to see how it works out. I like Nortel systems. Of course telecom goes through cycles just like everything else in life. I like competition, but a lot of the "free market" VOIP is messing things up.

I had a BCM order cancel today because of fear of lack of support.
The Canadian government has provided a 30 million loan to help during restructuring.

I can see where some clients may have reservations about buying equipment from a company in Bankruptcy but that is where the client should be educated on how things work with a big company as such as Nortel. Nortel is not going anywhere.
