Something has to give and will one way or another.
Big communication companies have had it their way to long it all going to come tumbling down soon.
One should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.

A hedge fund manager wrote this. More than likely he had some type of stock in Google Voice and was looking to make money quickly with this product and AT&T slapped him and the rest of the Googlenites on the hand. Reading this made him sound like a spoiled brat that got his candy taken away... I know some of his points are valid, but that is the way business is and if you can't make a penny with one thing, revamp and make it up another way. AT&T's business is to destroy the competitiion. AT&T is the big dog at the top of the food chain, it is all the other companies that need to try and knock them off. There are no companies that have been successful in doing that and I don't see any in the near future. You may or may not agree with my assessment but one thing you have to admit is AT&T is always evolving, unlike what the author of this article has said.

I've worked with AT&T for 3 years, I just left them a year ago. They've been making a lot of changes gradually, that's why very few people actually know what's going on. In any case, I agree with TadiranTechTexas, that's the way the market works - some win, some lose.
