We have an Executone phone system with Infostar VX voicemail. I have very limited knowledge of the system and no manual to really work with. I am wondering if it is possible to set an individual extension to transfer to an outside line (cell phone) while out of the office. I appreciate anyone's input and help. Thanks!

Yes, you can foward an extention to a speed dial number. The catch is that this has to be programed via a PC.in the "G" screen. When you program the speed dial number you may have to insert a pause before the dial digits and make sure un-used co ports are not programed for trunk group 1.
Ok, this may not be something I can do on my own. When I go into the voicemail terminal, option G is for mailbox type. I don't see anywhere that I can program it to do an outdial #. Is this something I should be able to do easily without much experience with this equip? Also, is this function set to work when the phone ext. is set to "OUT" or is it something I would have to manually change each time? Thanks!
First of all let me say thanks. I figured out the "G" screen (I was looking in the Infostar system before and that's why i couldn't figure it out). Right now they are all programmed to go to VMS for busy, etc. What is is that I need to replace the VMS with to get it to transfer to a speed dial number or outside line? If I set my phone to "Out" when I want this to occur, do I replace the VMS in the busy section? Thanks for any help.
you will have to put *xxx (the System speed dial bin number) there.(can only program System speed bins at the Operators Location)
OR: You can set up a Key on the phone code 839 and then have the phone do the actual ' dialing ' off-site. If you do the Key, you will need to set-up personal speed bin 1(I think...)or it may be speed bin 30. anyway, when you press the Key, there is 3 different Modes of operation, If I remember correctly 1st press only forwards calls transfered to the phone, 2nd press forwards calls in the 'day' mode, and the 3rd press will forward all calls ' day' and 'nite'(the key will also blink slower and faster depending how many times it's been pressed , the 4th time you press it will Cancel Call Fwd.
