I have a need to call into my system at night and page an external paging zone I setup that goes to a PA amp then an external speaker. I can page 61 now and it works fine, but I need to call it while I am sitting in my barko-lounger so I can run people off from my parking lot, like kids...
You know like, "Hey you in the blue shirt ( I can see them via remote camera's) get out of my parking lot or I'm gonna call the cops type of stuff.... Any way I can do this?

try setting up a DISA line?
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

A DISA line stands for Direct Inward Station Access.It is a line setup on the system that you can call into and after entering a password gives you system dialtone.If you're not a telecom guy then you should get someone in to set this up for you if you're interested.

Is this the only way? It seems that I should be able to enter the voicemail system and where just press some keys to get a page zone.....
is it not this simple?

I don't see how setting up a "night" DISA line would be that much work and it's simple.

I don't believe the system will allow you to page from a DISA dialtone.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Viking does make a product specifically designed to do what you want.

Maybe you can't page from the DISA line but it would be pretty easy to add a sli port into a co port and dial access that trunk port.At that point you're on a sli extension on the system.It can be done.

set up a DISA with a type that has no password if you want and then take a spare CO port and hook it up to a Single Line port. put the CO line in a seperate trunk group like 5. dial into DISA line and when you hear dialtone press *9805 or 9805 and you will have system dialtone through the fake co port from SLI port and you can dial 60 to page. try it
