I'm working with an antiquated Executone system (if any more information is needed, IE system name/model number, please let me know how to find it, and I'll be happy to post), and I'm having a problem. SO, the instructions I've read are as follows: While on the outside call press TRANS/CON key. Internal tone is heard. Press SILENT MONITOR key. Now the the outside line is conferenced into the station being monitored. Works for a minute, then within one or two calls placed, the conference is shattered and the outside line is dropped. Any advice is appreciated! :bang:

If it actually does work, there is a timer on the bottom right of the ' B ' screen that enables the time in minutes how long a conference can be made. I forget what the default is, the highest number can be 99.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

Thanks for the reply - I couldn't find anything referencing the Trans timer under 'B' - but I did find something under 'A'. I've messed with that, and I thought it had helped...but for not. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I've only tested with a cell phone...today I tried again, and it cut off even quicker than before. NOTE: The conference lasts much longer if I do it from an internal line. EG - Extension 1 hits an outside line to dial extension 2, and then 2 initiates the remote monitoring feature. It's twisting my brain!!

I think that what nonameyet is telling you is that on the B screen there is a timer called a divert timer.I can't see if it would affect what you're doing but try a longer timer and see if it helps.
