I have an IDS that has a flashing hold button. The cadence is 4 or 5 fast flashes followed by one long flash. The phone seems to function fine but not sure if it is causing something I am not aware of.

Someone left a call back to the extension. Press it and it will call that phone back and light should go out

pick up the handset and then press the button, it will call the ext that has left that message for you and the key will go out. if it does not, then repeat the steps again until the light disappears, because you could have multiple call backs. like mc601 said, it is a call back message that someone left on that phone.

I thought it was a message. Pressing it did not ring a station.
Thanks
