Im working on a Executone Medley with a few "pesky" phones, that will work for awhile then cut off.Phone are on the same card. When I hook my continuity tester to the station port the light is NOT a constant green, it will come and go.
Questions:
1. Power/Satus light in upper right corner - is this supposed to be a solid red or blinking red?
2. Lights above Card Slots- Supposed to be red at anytime, or dark. The light above card1 will go on and off.

Thanks for your help, any input would be great!
Randy

I'm not an expert on the Medley but I'm pretty sure the light above the power/status position should blink red constantly at appx. heartbeat speed.

The light(s) associated with each card should be solid red when any extension operating from that card is off hook, otherwise dark.

If the light above Card 1 is on and off erratically then there might be a card problem.

The system may be over heating you may have to remove cover and vent with a fan.
I have two medleys with your problem.

Thanks to All -
The customer is going to replace the card,p.supply and vent the system better -
Just my luck!! Tried selling them a new Nortel but they first want the "bandaid approach"!!??

Any tricks to replacing the card? Im assuming you just remove the cover and swap cards, and then reprogram? Is there a way to save programming and then transfer to new card?

Thanks for the help

No reprogramming will be needed, it's all on the hard drive., Shut it down, replace the card, Be sure not to Break the ribbon connectors, which can be a bear to remove!

pull the plug, touch something metal to ground out any static in your body before touching any circuit boards!, change out the card, and plug it back in.
