I just want to suggest few things to all owners of Executone phone systems.
One, the CPU has a 3.6V battery that is almost dead, so on the next power down, there is a good chance that you will loose the options and all programming. Make sure you do the backups regularly and plan on replacing the battery. you will need someone like me to restore options for you.
Two, if you are using ACD, most likely you have DVA's for your messages, they have the same battery as CPU, they are dead, or almost there, so make sure you replace them as well and you will not have to keep on re recording the messages every time you loose the power.
Three, do your backups on the voicemails as well. they will loose the hard drive sooner or later, and here's why, the drive is meant to work around 5 years or so, some of them are running far more then that, so it is a matter of time when the power goes out and the drive never comes back up.
Protect your investment, do backups.
