It has been a long time since I have touched an Isoetec 108.
I can't remember how to shut off the beep tone in the handset that you get with a new incoming call. Can someone please refresh my memory?

A screen - Camp-on timer. Set it to 0.

Thagg, It's camp on. The timer can be adjusted on the station programming screen. "A" screen.

What is/was the purpose of the camp on timer? Was it to alert ACD agents that another call was waiting? Or was it actually just to irriate system users?

Think about the fact that the phones have no off hook ringing so if you're on a call,the camp on tones let you know you have another call ringing.
