I believe what your talking about is the HF Rec option on the Timers section of the A screen. This will allow a phone to open the intercom channel when called internally (intercom). It will notify the user by means of two short beeps, which most people didn't hear if they were on a noisy environment.

Actually, I can only get it to monitor the line when off-hook on a CO call. The intercom calls don't seem to work with Sil (though that strikes me as very, very odd b/c that voice call is also passing through the box). Originally posted by nonameyet:

Check the feature options on the phone field, also, there might be an option to allow it in the M screen?

For completeness of the thread, I never did find an option or any way to monitor internal calls.
