Hello again,

We are running Executone IDS 228 System.

We are finally bringing in Comcast Broadband to replace the phone company service. The cable we've been on for years is always failing. Anyway...

We have 1 8-port modem installed already and we're scheduled to have two more by next week. So far, the install and performance has been fine. Soon, the accounting office will be raving about the price reduction.

Here is what I'm shooting for for traffic control:

Lines 1-8 Inbound
Lines 9-16 Outbound
Lines 17-19 Inbound Auto-Attendant

I'm sure I need to be changing Trunk/Hunt Group numbers in the B-Screen, but I'm not sure what the present codes mean. Although I've made many changes in the programming, I've never messed with those since they were done at installation.

Is there a standard that's used and are they used as a reference to the technician or do the assignments really make things happen?

Thanks!

Standards? Nothing was really standard( it would vary by the local office that installed them) BUT, seeing as you are in phily, it was most likely that it was installed either by me(I really Can't remember) OR someone that I used to work with. By reading some of your older posts, I see you have the 228 and voicemail and a few? DVA's, it's been Years since I've actually messed with the IDS( But, it was a Great system)

If you want to email me a backup copy of the database from the Phone system I could look at it( just tell me which version of CPU you have) and the Options that are on it.
