Executone IDS 84 Dropping Calls. Frogged line/ station cards. Replaced Power Supply. Replaced T1 Adtran unit. Checked grounds. As a test we took the last 3 lines on the phone system and put them on a small Nortel system and left it for 3 days, no dropped calls on those lines. Put the lines back and started dropping calls on those lines again that afternoon. If anyone has any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated by myself and my customer. It is economically impossible to replace the system at this point according to the customer.

it's probably the VCM/CPU card ( all in one on the 84)if you haven't worked on the IDS system this is not going to be easy for you.

Do you have access to the system programming? what version software is the CPU running? What ' OPTIONS ' are on the CPU?

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

Thanks Brian, I was kind of leaning in that direction. I replaced the processor a couple of years ago. The vendor I bought it from loaded it with all the options. I'm not sure what software version it is running. I program it with my laptop and Procomm Plus. You are right in that it's not the easiest system to work with. I had to reprogram from scratch when the system crashed a few years ago. Thanks for your input. I hope this will solve the problem.

When you log in with Pro-Com you will see the version and options on the main menu screen. You also have the ability to download the system to your laptop it is in the d-screen. After you do a restore you will need a reboot to get the F-screen back in the correct order. I suspect you will need a certified tech to put the options back on. I would install a new battery onthe board you are installing we have had a bunch failing lately.
Hope this helps
Randy

When you say dropping calls, do you mean the system is resetting? I had a similar issue with that a while back.
