I installed a PRI and things went pretty well except for incoming calls. I experienced one-way audio on incoming calls. Outgoing calls were fine. I have to wonder if it has to do with the Switch type setting, which I set to 02 for National NI-2 or the line type in the B screen which I set to 61. The tester I was working with said the CO switch is a 5ESS and the standard protocol I beleive is NI-2.

I had this happen once a long time ago.If the pri is giving both name & number on caller id ask the provider to drop the name part.I think we later upgraded software.This drve me nuts because it was an installed pri & no one told me that they had added the name part to id.I hope this helps.

PRI supports CID with name on 3.0 or higher.
Did this PRI ever work before? I have many that have audio problems, mostly it is the daughter board. Call me when you can, I have some questions and maybe we can do some trouble shooting together. 2033955027. Joe.

No, this is a new install. I have not seen any CID on any inbound test calls that I have done. This problem is about to get the best of me. When I watch the PRI monitor screen the channel shows NULL on any incoming call. Outgoing calls show "ACTIVE" for the duration on the call. I can make an outgoing call on channel 1 of the circuit and audio is fine. Incoming on same channel has 1-way audio. Should I upgrade system to ver 3.0? I have 2.5.1 The whole point of installing PRI is for CID.

2.5.1 Works but will not show name.
5ESS is ATT custom so you should have it set to switch type 1 per my notes.
3.0 System software supports name and number
So for now would suggest you change switch type and if still not working have them remove name from caller ID information being sent.
