I am having a brain fart! Which card controls the com ports on IDS108/228? CPU or VCM I have a com port 3 dead and already bypassed the transient supressor.
Thanks, JJ

Answer my own question. The cpu gives you the two rs232 ports and the two rs422 ports. If you have a EDCM you get 4 more rs232 ports.
Had to tricker the old mind!!

True, with the EDCM, But, the only way to actually use them was via a DDI....

EDCM gives you 6 more ports, and CPU controls the ports 1 through 4. ACPU has Device processor that controls ports 1 and 2 and there is a separate chip for ports 3 and 4.
Executone super tech.
