I have a VxC in a 108 and I've had a couple of users report that their messages periodically play back garbled. It seems to occur randomly and then will go away. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Do a proper shut down of the system then pull the card out at reset. That has seemed to clear the issue in the past. Would suggest you also gather all information needed from system just in case. May also have something to do with power. But in the past reseating the card has corrected.

How often do those cards themselves go bad? I just switched to it like a month ago cause our VX2 finally died. I picked it up used of course. I did change it to a flash drive before I started using it though and the power supply for it is new.
Thanks!

Just really depends. Of course the flash drive will last much longer than the disk so you should be good to go there. If they are in good environment they should last a long time. Guess it's a VXC since you mentioned power supply? If that's been repaired correctly it should last as well.

I pulled the card out and cleaned the edge with alcohol and reseated it. Someone said that it still did it after that. I thought I read on one of the old posts that the performance of the VxC was effected the farther away from the CPU you got. Could something like that have an effect?

Do not remember anything like that. Can you change it to a different slot in the KSU to see if that helps. Also they weren't listening to a older message that was left prior to you doing the work perhaps?

Somebody said that the MoH was even doing it. The VxC is also the auto attendant. Will try a different slot when I get a chance.

The MOH was garbled? Then you may have issues with VCM or trunk have you checked to make sure a trunk isn't causing. Would think they would have noticed it on a line if it was there all the time?

I personally haven't heard it doing any of this. Will see what happens when I change slots, but if there was an issue with the VxC, could the MoH potentially be affected while a call is in the auto attendant?

No I wouldn't think the two would be related.
