I have done this before but have a couple questions.
- Can a user manually forward their phone to the speed bin number i.e. 005, or do I always have to do that, in the G-screen?
- do you know off-hand if I can use a dummy extension, or one thats not actually plugged in for example in the F-screen as the phone that is always forwarded to the bin number, or with it being an IDS 42 does it have to be a live phone?
Thanks

Yes, the user can forward the phone themselves, depending upon which " mode ' the system is in, Day or nite, since You still work on the system ( I haven't touched one in over 5 years ) but, If I remember correctly you need to use a certain Station speed dial Bin to make this work. I'm thinking it was Bin 030? ( maybe somebody else will chime in...)

Forward to station speed dial used bin 30 - although I'm not positive that it was available on IDS/42
Most of the IDS off net forwarding required a real working extension - unless call arrived via DID trunk or you sent it to ACD first, etc. - none of which are available on /42
Cheers!

Correct forward to station speed dial key N/A on 42 you would have to use forward to system speed dial in G-Screen and set up the bin.
