I am working on an executone system, The first one in 13 years .It took a lightning strike or surge of some sort .I need to figure out what model it is to order the correct line card for it . I know it is an IDS of some kind but there is no model number to speak of on the cabinet .IDS phones. And how am I going to access programming?????

to be honest, you haven't worked on one in 13 years..But, still, You have No Idea what you are looking at or even How to access programming?

Think of it this way, it is 13 Years old. Get rid of it. it is most likely Done. OR: Find somebody that does know how to work on it, Pay them a site visit, and if you are Nice, they might not mind if You look over their shoulder.

cool. I tell the customer that .Forced them to jump to VOIP like everyone else. and put this dinosaur into it's own ice age. thanks

With very limited information to start with, I just sat down and messed with my system until I figured it out, without any previous phone system knowledge. As cheap as most of the parts are on EBay these days, you should be able to keep a system going for a long time without having to invest in a new one.

What does the equipment look like flat pack or does it have a cabinet with card slots. Are there part numbers on the phones may be able to get a start with a little more info. Send PM with picture.
